Phyllis C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program 2025
This scholarship program was established in honor of Phyllis C. Anderson, a former volunteer of Prom Genie, Inc., and Prom Genie II, Inc. Mrs. Anderson was resolute wholeheartedly to the organization's mission. Her volunteer service made an impact and was an integral part of our stability, growth, and success. Mrs. Anderson had a heartfelt commitment to serving at Boutique Day, being a part of the leadership team, a financial contributor, and an advocate for the education/scholarship initiative. The Prom Genie II staff and volunteers are proud to keep the legacy of our beloved Phyllis C. Anderson alive through our scholarship program.
Hammond Resident Scholarship - $1500
An education assistance award will be granted to a female high school Senior that needs financial support for essential items related to attending college.
Northwest Indiana Resident Scholarship - $1000
An education assistance awards will be granted to a female high school Senior that needs financial support for essential items related to attending college.
Scholarship Eligibility
-Applicants MUST Be a Female High School Senior that resides in
Hammond or Northwest Indiana.
-MUST have a minimum 3.0 or higher GPA.
-MUST have 2 letters of recommendation- 1 from your school and 1
from the community.
-MUST have a 1-page essay related to the application topic.
-MUST have a verification form from your high school counselor.
-MUST have a current transcript with a school seal or stamp.
-MUST have proof of reduced/free lunch, or proof of enrollment in
programs such as Upward Bound/Educational Talent Search.
-MUST have a parent or guardian’s signature if you are under the age
of 18
-MUST submit a complete postmarked application by May 15, 2025.
